Welcome to our Auberge
Since March 1, 2015 we (Ester, Marco and Sebastian) are the proud owners of l'Auberge. After several years with plenty of plans for a foreign adventure, we took in 2013 the decision to go and we started looking for a suitable location in France. Requirements and wishes we had enough: a small complex, with lots of activities for a successful holiday, several nice towns in the neighborhood, a beautiful, hilly area, and easy to get around from the Netherlands. After an intense search on the internet, and visiting various interesting objects, we have fallen in love with l'Auberge in Abjat-sur-Bandiat. A modern small complex, with many conveniences, on the edge of a small village and with beautiful views over the hills.
Our goal is to create a relaxing getaway at the Auberge for families without and with (small) children. Enjoy the tranquility and nature, but with the convenience of a bakery, pub and a restaurant within walking distance. Located on various walking and cycling routes, so also ideal for sporty guests.
We hope for everyone (young and old) to be able to create an atmosphere of "coming home". During the day we are regularly between our clients for a friendly chat and advice on activities and attractions. Also, we have a guestbook available, in which most of the attractions in the region are described. For our guests we have walking and cycling maps of the region. In addition, there are mountain bikes in various sizes (child size to XL) available which our guests can use. And for our young guests we have various games "on loan". So that everyone can enjoy themselves while staying in our Auberge.
The feeling of coming home also means that we have created in our adjacent house a dining room, where in the morning our guests can make use of the breakfast served by us and/or in the evenings, our guests can enjoy a 3-course menu prepared by Ester. We hope to welcome you soon in our "Auberge" allowing you to enjoy this beautiful part of France.
