Welcome to our Auberge
Since March 1, 2015 we, Ester and Marco, are the proud owners of l'Auberge. After a number of years with plenty of plans for a foreign adventure, we took the plunge in 2013 and started looking for a suitable location in France. We had enough requirements and wishes: a small-scale complex, with plenty of fun activities nearby for a successful holiday, several nice towns in the area, a beautiful, hilly environment, and easy to travel from the Netherlands. After an intensive search on the internet, and viewing various interesting objects, we fell for l'Auberge in Abjat-sur-Bandiat. A modern small-scale complex, equipped with many conveniences, on the edge of a small village and with a beautiful view over the hills.
Our goal is to make l'Auberge a relaxing holiday destination for families without and with (small) children. Enjoy the peace and nature, but with the convenience of a bakery, a café and a restaurant within walking distance. Located on various walking and cycling routes, so also ideal for sporty guests.
We hope to be able to create an atmosphere of "coming home" for everyone (young and old). We are regularly among our customers during the day for a friendly chat and advice on activities and sights. We also have a map available, in which most of the sights in the region are described. For our sporty guests we have walking and cycling maps of the region. In addition, there are mountain bikes in different sizes (from children's size to XL) that our guests can use. We have also built a jeu-de-boules court for a sporty game of pétanque. And for our young guests we have various games "on loan". So that everyone can enjoy themselves during a stay in our Auberge.
